Brief de Web Design
We have just completed a recent DesignCrowd project for a new logo (see attached).
As the next stage of our rebranding we now require a website re-design to complement the new logo.
Our current site, http://www.welldatatech.com was built in-house and does not come across as professional as we would like. We supply software and associated services to some of the world’s largest oil companies and we need our site to reflect that level of client.
We will also be posting another design project for brochures, PowerPoint slides and other materials very soon.

Page for mobile devices that gives basic company and product information
Currently the site is small but we intend to increase content to include white papers etc. this should be taken into account when designing the navigation therefore we would prefer navigation through styled text links rather than images.
Colour schemes should broadly be taken from our new logo, where the dark blue and dark green from the left and right sides of the logo are the main colours, but other, brighter accent colours can be used to highlight sections or content.
Dark Blue = C:88, M:55, Y:44, K:28
Dark Green = C:87, M:53, Y:50, K:50
NB: Don’t use the logo on our current site, make sure you use the one attached.
We would prefer the final file format to be a layered PSD.
The site should be clean and professional and communicate the following...
• That we have a great depth and breadth of knowledge about our customers’ business, enabling us to deliver the best systems and solutions.
• That we are a leading provider of cost estimation and control solutions to the oil and gas industry.
• The benefits of our software and consulting services.
• Show that we deliver outstanding customer service and value with a very high level of professionalism
• The site should have no Flash and be able to self-adjust to fit any screen size.
Things to avoid …
• Obvious and clichéd oil industry imagery, no oil rigs
• Cartoon style graphics

These designs are well executed but they are basically the same layout as our existing site and while there is nothing inherently wrong with this layout we would like to see some designs that are a bit more innovative and different. We don’t really want just a polished version of our current site.
