Brief de Design de Logo
Eurowheel will launch in late 2014 as a distributor of premium Italian electric bicycles as well as scooters. In preparation for the launch, we require a logo in the first instance – and from there, we will invite the winning designer to assist us with developing the look / feel for the brand & roll out across business cards, website, social media and other business collateral.
Logo Development: Design Routes
Wish to consider designs that fall into the following four areas – but the brief is very much open to other creative ideas and will therefore consider executions that fall outside of these parameters.
1. Wordmark only – uppercase
a. Classic, contemporary, uncomplicated typeface
b. Will consider one or two colour execution
c. See page 1 of attached for typography references
2. Wordmark only – cursive font
a. See page 2 attached for typography references
b. Consider whether this route could feature some subtle bike cues
3. Integrate more overt bike cues into wordmark
a. See page 3 of attached for visual reference
4. Wordmark + Picture
a. Consider whether there is scope to combine a bike-related picture with the wordmark.
b. Consider whether the wordmark sits within a holding device.

Mandatories
• Logo must represent classic Italian style
• It should be uncomplicated & non-cliqued
• It must be gender-neutral
• Any cues towards bikes must be non-descript to a particular type of bike
• Do not wish to see logos which have the ‘o’ made out of a wheel
Colour
Will consider powerful red, orange, black or greys. Happy to consider other colours with accompanying rationale.
Logo Text
Should read 'Eurowheel' or 'EUROWHEEL' but if you come up with a design that works best with 'EuroWheel', then we will consider it.

Hi Everyone -
Big thanks to those who have submitted designs thus far, some really great work.
I am eager to see more options which use a cursive / script typography (in line with route 2 of the PDF attached to the brief). Some great references to strong global brands that have a simple cursive font on Pinterest - Typeverything.com - Script logos, or via a simple google search using this term. Vespa also use a script font with an underline and whilst I prefer the fonts in my brief, this kind of direction gives it a younger, trendier feel which is important for this brand.

Hi Everyone -
Thanks to those who have submitted designs for this brief.
I'm extremely eager to see some simple word mark logos that use a cursive font. There are a number of cursive fonts that I am fond of, in the PDF that's attached to the brief. I'm eager to see what you can do with typographies similar to those. I will consider word mark logos with or without a holding device.
I have also uploaded a JPEG of some great cursive word mark logos that might provide further inspiration.
This logo needs to be trendy and funky. Vespa is another good example.
I look forward to seeing the designs that meet this part of the brief.
