Brief de Design de Logo
Dear Designers,
We are a team of law enforcement officers and mechanical engineers that have joined forces to found Palmetto Support Technology. Our goal is to invent simple, yet effective solutions to better protect the people who protect us.
So far, our inventions are guns and knives to be used in self-defense. Perhaps the logo can allude to that, but we will eventually be expanding into other products, so the logo can't be too specific.
Our target customers will in large part be the United States military as well as local police officers. However, civilians with a special interest in defending themselves against intruders / attackers will likely be customers, too.

The traditional vs. modern line is a difficult one. We have customers with traditional mindsets, but who have an eye for modern / innovative products. Ideally, the "feel" of the logo will speak to both.

- The logo can be multi-color and have some 3D aspects to it. However, it will need to also look good when printed in a solid color (as it will be imprinted or laser cut into some of our products)
Bien d'avoir
- It would be nice if "Palmetto Support Technology" could be removable from the logo, so that the emblem (with "PST") could stand on its own for imprinting on products, going on t-shirts, etc.
Our initial thoughts are to have a shield or police badge somehow incorporated into the logo, which speaks to the end use and users of our products. We're open to other suggestions.
We are based in South Carolina, USA where the state symbol is a Palmetto tree. Since "Palmetto" is in our name, it would be nice (but not required) to tie the Palmetto tree into the logo. However, the badge theme takes precedence if we have to choose one, or if the Palmetto tree just doesn't "fit" in
