Your Cuddly Creations Logo Brief
We are opening a new retail business and would like a logo and artwork for a wide variety of uses. The company name is YOUR CUDDLY CREATIONS with the strapline A BEAR IN THE MAKING.

We have a shop where children and their families can come to make a bear of their own to take home. There is a similar business called ‘Build a Bear’ who have shops all over the world and is popular in the UK where we are based: http://www.buildabear.co.uk.
Our target customers are children from new-born to 10 years old, we will have older children, and adults buying the bears for things like Weddings, Birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Easter, ETC.

What we do:
We offer a fun experience for children whereby they come into the shop and pick a Bear skin from our range; the skin has no filling so that they can then fill the skin with fluff. Next the child will put a soft token into the body of the skin and make a promise to love and look after it. They get a printed copy of the promise on A5 card which is rolled up like scroll and tied with a ribbon. They then get a birth certificate with a photo and can buy clothing and accessories for their new furry friend. This is all put in a carry home box.

What we need:
1. We need a logo for various uses. The logo should include a new bear which could eventually be used as our mascot, and the company name and strapline. The bear will also be used independently of the name and strapline and the company name and strapline also need to work as a logo without the bear.
2. A fun scene using the bear from our logo and other animals or scenery, e.g. a teddy bears picnic, animals playing together in a field etc. This will be used for decals/transfers to be applied to the shop walls and fronts of interior display units etc. this could be a strip that we may cut into different sizes, enlarge or shrink, or repeat on the longer runs.

Both of the above will be used on a variety of materials: stationery, signs, display units, packaging, website and social media etc.

The designs should fit with our brand values: friendly and fun, just like the experience the children get when they make their own bear, but also professional. We want the children to have their breath taken away when they enter the shop and to feel excited about creating their very own bear.


Summary of considerations & requirements:
- Distinct logo incorporating a bear and company name/strapline – should work independently of each other
- Designs should convey the following sentiment: fun, friendly, professional
- Consideration of appropriate font or fonts to also convey the above
- Portrait and landscape options for different uses
- Print quality vector logo (AI and EPS) and hi res JPGs and PDFs
- Mono version of the logo for when colour print is not possible
- Avoid designing a bear which is too similar to the Build A Bear logo (our competitors mentioned above)
