Brief de Design de Logo

Dog Ear Software is a fun, innovative, independent software company specializing in creating intelligent applications using novel algorithms to inspire, create, and help people solve everyday problems. Our first product, Chord Commander for Guitar, is currently in development and is targeted for release in 2014 for Windows and Mac and hopefully iOS and Android in 2015. Chord Commander shows guitar players with little or no experience how to play any chord progression on guitar. The idea of "Dog Ear" was partially inspired by my love of dogs (dogs are cute, loyal, smart, and trustworthy, like our company), but also by musician's tendency to fold over, or "dog-ear" the corners of sheet music. Whether or not that idea is used in the logo is up to you - if it helps, go for it. The logo should be simple, streamlined, and most of all, memorable. For example, I like the logo and website design for Tapbots (http://tapbots.com/). I view Chord Commander and Dog Ear's future applications to be clever, intelligent, novel, unique, easy, simple, and fun to use, and the logo should reflect that. It could be a logo of a character, cartoon or not, or it could be abstract. I'm not sure if we'll do only musical applications now and in the future... The color scheme could be inspired by sheet music: simple black and white. Or, it could have a limited color palette. I/we'll have to work this into a website design soon. I'm kicking the tires on DesignCrowd with the logo first. I'll need a logo for Chord Commander, too, eventually, but let's focus on the LLC brand first.
