Brief de Design de Logo

MPO Systems is a new software company with a very narrow, specialized focus: process optimzation for an ERP program called Macola. We are dedicated to helping companies improve their business processes and help them get more out of their Macola software with less overhead and greater flexibility.

Our first/flagship product is called SNAP. SNAP is an acronym, meaning "Streamlined, Nuanced, Augmented Processing." It's a revolutionary tool optimizing all facets of the distribution process. We like to think of it as a swiss army knife for Macola: It combines aspects of order entry, work order processing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and backorder processing into a single, user friendly interface.

For SNAP, here are some notes on what I have in mind:

Typeface & logo should suggest modernity, movement, power, technology, and the idea "it's a snap!"
Should also be inviting/not intimidating: i.e.: not for techno-geeks only
Want to avoid comparisons to existing logos or fonts
Deco-inspired to some degree, a conceptual representation of snapping fingers is not outside the realm

Notes on MPO Systems:
Again, typeface & Logo suggest modernity, movement, power, technology
MPO is the key portion of the name
3-D renderings of initials using cubes and/or diamonds have been done to death (e.g. ITC entertainment, TDK , etc) so we do not want that kind of concept
Looking to evoke innovation, intelligence, utility, technology
Inspirations at the moment include Omega, Omni magazine, Byte Magazine

Marché(s) Cible(s)

Mid-sized light manufacturers and distribution companies that use Macola from Exact Software in the US Market. Both tech-savvy users and business minder management types
