*The con of submitted preview is, that you will not see bad quality of the image, cause preview on design crowd is just to little for any size... monitor vs screen.

This depends of design itself. Problem is, cause they need to Blow up image, and you lose quality. So whatever design you blow, its lower quality then before. Another problem is, that you will not see problems on preview, cause preview is to small.
If for example, design has white background, you can blow background and dont lose any quality, cause its just white color. Designer just add some color thats it. But as soon, there is some graphic there and you make bigger, you dont get so much sharpen image. You will notice that, when you get design from print provider.

example of blow up: - shape - let say head got 100 pixels
- designer blow up shape - the same head let say he blows up on 150 pixels.

You cant make 50 pixels from nothing....

But no matter what, u need bleed. Or you will buy design, pay money, go to print provider and pay some more to correct mistakes which cant be corrected.

I am shocked, that you got 80 designs and not even one designer does not know what bleed is....

here is my suggestion.
1)Extend contest time.
2)Contact your printing service provider
3)Find out how much bleed he needs.
4) Put in brief update:
example: size weight = X height = X
required bleed = x

5)Let designers do their work, like it should be done.

Designers which not know, how to do design with bleed, they should not work on that project from the start.

To simplify that bleed issue, ask your would-be printer their bleeding adn cutting requirement and whatever their requirement on the matter will be, uploaded it and address it to all designers and let them rectify and revise their designs to the printer's bleed requirement. For those who can not follow this requirement would be up to you. Meaning if this simple bleed requirement will not be met, you will be having a problem once you submit the selected design. For me just upload bleed dimension and presto I will provide you with my designs with the bleeding and cutting requirements of your printer. Be it in PSD and PDF or whatever format they may like. Thank you.

In addition, to follow the bleed requirement will not need a 10 days extension. Doing the bleeding will only take less than an hour. That's too long a period but I respect your decision for that. Thank you.

For husskystafford, don't ever be shock because for me I am just following what is on the brief. I don't preempt the wisdom of the project-owner. And don't ever think that it's only you who knows that VERY SIMPLE printing process of having a design bleeded when needed or required. Please.

Your comment on the aspect of NO PROFESSIONAL DESIGNERS here in this project. I am upset by your comment. You assume that you will be the only one if you participate will be THE ONLY PROFESSIONAL DESIGNER HERE. We Filipino designers are mad when professionalism is hurled into our face by unknown individuals in this industry. A piece of advice to you MR. PROFESSIONAL. You be HUMBLE in giving your advice. With that you will be exalted. OK?

Do not take it personal, but i would expect from professional designer to tell contest holder about things, which are needed for correct design-printing experience. ;)

Yes, they can blow image in few minutes and on preview, you will not notice that, but i talked about that in post earlier...

Off course, I did not make original post, to have unproductive conversation, with "designer" and I do not intend to spend my time on that.
