Brief de Design de Logo

I have recently started up this construction company and want an eye catching, professional logo which illustrates our building as an art form almost. I want it to appeal to professional people wanting to do high quality building and construction jobs. It is a construction and project management company so maybe that could be stated in the logo.
I don't want it to be tacky with a picture of a hammer or a painting etc. I don't want anything which gives the idea that our scope of work is limited (i.e a house incorporated which would suggest we are only residential - i would like to appeal to all types of construction). My favourite colours are blue and green which does represent green building almost, but yellow and black could be a good combination too. I am open to different colour schemes too, just something eye catching. I would prefer something simple yet makes you take notice. It should be solid, giving a sense that you can trust the company with your expensive job or your house or the like. I want to be thought to be dependable and reliable.
