Servicebroker - More Feeling for Service
- Garanti
Brief de Design de Logo
With our logo re-design we would like to represent our qualities
as clearly and as simply as possible (which surely is no surprise for a logo-designer).
We are minimalists, and
"maximalists" regarding service-quality.
Challenge
for the logo-design:
The connection of a very simple typo and
logo is difficult due to the long company name. The expression
„Servicebroker“ must remain in one word. The logo should be
connected to the typo or v.v.
We
are
searching for a logo, which will represent us for the next decade
and hopefully much longer. To design something modern and classic at
the same time is your art-work which we very much admire. The results
which we have received by our local designers were dissapointing, we
missed freshness, innovation, dynamic, style.
We wish you
and us luck with our logo design and we hope that you will understand and
feel what we are seeking for. Of course we would offer further jobs to the one we choose for our logo-design.
Updates
Regarding the font:
Regarding the logo:

- Servicebroker slogan: „More Feeling for Service“

- Style and message should be clear, light, unequivocal, futuristic
Following words express our way of thinking:
Humanity, need-orientation, solution driven, specialized knowledge, trustworthiness, reliability, straightness (clear lines), simplicity, minimalism, movement, ease, modernity, flexibility, continuity, stability, strength (forcefulness), the tension between abstract &, natural/human.

Challenge for the logo-design:
The connection of very simple
typo and logo is difficult due to the long company name. The
expression „Servicebroker“ must remain in ONE word (spelled
„Servicebroker“, only capital letter is S, no color-change or
separation). The logo should be connected to the typo or v.v.
- Attention: the expression „Servicebroker“ says it all, the logo should emphasize the word, not the other way!
- Idea:
The idea of "squaring the circle" as a metaphor for indissoluble problems has inspired us as Servicebroker is absolutelly solution-driven. Therefore the idea of a square which is broken through by a circle could be one of the ways to go for our logo design. Playing with the simplest geometric forms like square and circle will surely be helpful. Of course – later - movement or dynamics would be terrific (2D, 3D, perspectives, etc.)
From wikipedia: "Squaring the circle" as a metaphor:
The futility of exercises aimed at finding the quadrature of the circle has lent itself to metaphors describing a hopeless, meaningless, or vain undertaking.
For example, in Spanish, the expression "descubriste la cuadratura del círculo" ("you discovered the quadrature of the circle") is often used derisively to dismiss claims that someone has found a simple solution to a particularly hard or intractable problem.
Inspiration:
- cube made out of balls, ball in a cube, circle in a square, square in a circle, circle breaks through square, ball breaks through cube, etc.
- font as logo, logo replaces letter, simple forms as a shadow background of the font, etc.
- If you think, that another sign or form symbolizes „dealing with services“ better than squares and circles, feel free to convince us.
We are searching for a logo, which will represent us for the next decade and hopefully much longer. To design something modern and classic at the same time is your art-work which we very much admire. We wish you luck with our logo design and we hope that you will understand and feel what we are seeking for.
- Logo colors: pantone cool grey3, red pantone 1805 C, blue pantone 281 C (main color)
- Font: please submit 1 version with a narrow font, 1 version with a serife font. Both font types should be elegant, simple, modern.
Serife fonts we like are Chaparral Pro Semibold (may be italic), Cambria
