Brief de Design de Logo

“Love Mum” is a baby and toddler daily deals (flash sales) site. The company has a strong focus on caring mums and embracing the love a mum has for her child(ren). We aim for the highest quality of customer service and professionalism.

Our plan is to associate the “Love Mum” brand and company with charities, as we want to give back profits to worthwhile causes that our community feels strongly for.

We would like our brand to be iconic, and aim to use our shop to continue to grow a good hearted community that supports and helps one another.

It’s important that our logo has these characteristics:

• Appeals to mothers with babies and young children.
• Feels compassionate and loving.
• Clean and professional.
• Does not contain any elements related to the actual shop.
• Does not contain “stick people” or "doll like" vectors. These are usually associated with charities. Although we are charitable, we are not a charity and would like to avoid looking like one.

Text: Simple or cursive text is allowed. Note that the text has to be powerful. So cursive text needs to be well weighted and clearly readable in small version of the logo. Cursive text letters or tails that form hearts are nice and will impress us if done well. Different color for words or symbolic letters is welcome, and could add some nice detail to the logo.

Graphic: We have the following suggestions for the graphic(s). Mother and child (0 to 5 years), mother only, child only (1 to 5 years), heart, tree, or anything else representing motherhood, love, life and humanity. We want to avoid a clip art feel. The graphic needs to be very professional and well defined.

Colors: A base color of purple and/or pink is preferable. Additional soft colors or shades can be added to give some nice detail and variation in the logo.

How I would like to describe our logo: Simple, elegant, beautiful, professional, creative and warm.

I've attached some logos we like, many of them are heart logos as they were the easiest to find in best of lists on the web. Hearts are welcome, but by no means a requirement.

My advice to you the designer: Design to your strengths and make the best logo you can. Thank you and we look forward to seeing your designs.
