Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo, letterhead, and business card for a small law practice. Basically it's just me, my paralegal, and my private investigator. We do primarily criminal defense, both trial and appeal, in state and federal court. We work mostly in complex cases, and serious crimes. We don't handle DUI, or volume business. Think more like major drug crimes, murder, etc. Because of this we do a limited number of cases each year. We're picky because we do big cases, and take the time to focus on them and do them right.

The office is in an old rennovated building in Portland, Oregon, with lots of 1920's wood and glass, looks vaguely Dashiel Hammett. Interior is decorated with comic and pulp art, some antiques, and some funky stuff. I'm looking for something classy, timeless, and understated, but unique. My name is Bronson James, I suppose that would be useful information, since my name is on the door.

I want a logo and theme that can translate across business cards, letterhead, email footers, and website.
