Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo design for a company I'm starting up, based in Sydney, Australia. The name of the company is "Flying Design".

My company will provide website and web-based solutions and consulting for small businesses. Specifically, my service offerings will range from design, development and set-up of basic company websites, to more extensive, customised web commerce and other solutions as we grow. We will also provide additional business consulting services around the web solutions we deliver, drawing on my nearly 25 years of wide IT and business experience.

Flying Design is being founded on an ethos of customer-led design. This means, whatever we deliver to our business clients - whether it is a basic website, a more extensive web commerce solution or additional business consulting services - we do so by applying basic tenets of good design. The websites and web solutions we deliver to our business clients must therefore fulfil 3 fundamental criteria. They must be:
1. Useful (fit for purpose as specified by our clients)
2. Usable (in an easy and intuitive way by our clients, and their customers and prospects) and
3. Desirable (fun, enjoyable and stimulating to use).

We are called Flying Design as I am also a private pilot (flying light aircraft for fun) and I am attracted to the flight metaphor for use in my business. The logo design should communicate the concept of flight or flying, and the positive things about flying as they relate to the mission of my business - speed, agility, "fresh perspective", tech-savvy, cutting edge, fun, positive, forward looking. The design should also if possible reflect the business's ethos of good design as described above.

The logo will need to be usable both on my website and in electronic contexts such as email, and also in print form (on business cards, letterheads etc).

Exigences

Doit avoir

• Logo must contain image or representation (can be slightly abstracted, doesn't necessarily have to be photographic) of small/light aircraft similar to the aircraft shown in the attached images (Piper Cherokee). I'm not after large aircraft (747s etc) as I'm seeing the light aircraft as a metaphor for my business. We (Flying Design) are like a small aircraft (light, nimble, small), not large aircraft (large, heavy etc).

Bien d'avoir

• I'm agnostic on colours and colour scheme. However I would like to be communicating positivity, vibrancy, motion, movement, modernity, technology.

Ne doit pas comporter

• No birds or other flying stuff - we're talking about aircraft here. No large aircraft. And please no aircraft images with wings on top (like Cessna 172s) - keep it with wings coming straight out of the fuselage under the windows, as per the attached images.
