Brief de Design de Logo

We are a surgical implant company. We want a new logo that also has a symbol that includes the letters o and P. We want the symbol to be recognizable and be able to stand alone. So that we can put just the symbol on our products and the Symbol and the Name of our Company on our brochures and email signature. We would like something similar to the Sportscenter logo where the 'sc' in the middle have a background behind just those letters and then the letters are distracted and the symbol for Sportscenter is SC with the same background behind it, and then the symbol stands alone.
