Brief de Design Illustration

Have a look at the attached drawing. The brief is for a one-panel cartoon based on that model.

We are a new mental health charity in Melbourne. We want to run a social-support campaign called 'Better With a Friend', with cartoons like the attached (only actually done by someone with artistic skill). This cartoon will be the first.

Please include the title 'Better with a Friend" and the subtitle 'Seesaws'.

The winning illustration will make this cartoon funny, friendly, and inviting - maybe through the figure, or their face.... It will be closer to a cartoon in nature - clean borders, not too much detail or texture. Think of a comic strip.

I notice that I often like subdued colours in combination with bright ones, but to be honest, black and white may win, too.

The 'friendly, inviting, humorous' feel should carry through to the font. (For example, Times New Roman would look too stuffy.)

An actual background would be appreciated - even a simple one - my iPad drawing is just of the main figure and text.

The winning designer will have the chance of a longer engagement to run the campaign. The campaign will run online and in Facebook, so feel free to identify your username or something in the corner. Also, the online exposure means that copyright is a bigger issue. Create something new for this one!

• Must be one-panel cartoon following (more or less) the layout shown in the uploaded file. Feel free to take a creative approach to it as long as it has the seesaw, the figure and the words.
