Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo for a new online service.

The service provides a simple, automated way for people to connect to an application or service.

The service uses a newish technology called NFC to allow people to simply tap their phone on special tag to connect.

The main conceptual requirement is that I need a design that can be both fun as well as corporate to reflect the potential market for the service. The ability to communicate the idea of involvement in the mobile world would be ideal but is not required.

I have the following visual requirements/guidelines for the logo:

1) the text of the logo is "tapmandu". In case you are wondering the "tap" is a reference to how the people will use the service. They will tap their phones to connect to applications and services.

2) a strong preference for the logo to be text only. Very simple, minimal decoration possible - but only if it really adds to the design and is not cliched. For example please don't add signal strength bars like the engadget.com logo (and so many others).

3) no particular colours are preferred but please use a maximum of three colours. Keep it simple.

4) colours must be flat, standard colours (eg no gradients) so they appear consistently on screen and in print.

5) you can play with different lower case/upper case versions of the text (for example all lower case -"tapmandu" or upper camel - "TapManDu" etc). My current preference is for all lower case but happy to be convinced otherwise.

6) The sound-a-like word for this name is the capital of Nepal - Kathmandu. I doubt any design would be able to link my service and this place together in a useful way. So unless you come up with something really clever please don't try.

7) please use text effects sparingly. I'm after a font that should be able to speak for itself.
