Brief de Design de Logo
Hello! My fiancee and I are in the process of planning our wedding and we'd like to add a distinctive mark to our website, invitations, menus etc. That's where you come in. A good logo would really throw our wedding over the top and add a recognizable element to all of the different pieces of wedding miscellany.
The mascot of our relationship is a flying pig, like the common turn-of-phrase "When pigs fly." Abby's favorite author is John Steinbeck, who doodled a pig with wings in his books along with the phrase in latin, "ad astra per alas porci" which translates loosely to "to the stars on the wings of a pig." He used this to call out professors who told him that his work was too clumsy and lumbering to be successful. Obviously, he proved them wrong.
Jake proposed to Abby at a restaurant in Washington, DC, near their home. Jake indicated that Abby should check out a painting of a pig with wings on the ceiling. By the time Abby looked back down, she found Jake on one knee displaying a ring. The ring has the latin phrase above inscribed on the band. To them, the phrase and flying pig image mean that even though neither Abby nor Jake is the most graceful person, together they can achieve great things.
A little bit more information that might guide you:
-Jake and Abby's full names are Jake Fratangelo and Abby Arganese
-The wedding will be held at Early Mountain Vineyards (http://earlymountain.com/) in Madison, VA on May 30th, 2015.
We're looking for a mark that includes the flying pig and possibly considers our names or initials. The mark should be upbeat, aspirational, fun, quirky and have some personality. Neither Abby or Jake are particularly serious people, but this is a very important occasion so we want to avoid anything vulgar or crude.
Attached you'll find a screen grab of our wedding website (in development) and a couple more pictures of the couple, the venue, and some flying pigs we've liked.
It would be great to have two versions of the logo, one locked up with:
"Abby & Jake
Early Mountain Vineyards | May 30, 2015"
and one with just the mark on its own.
Thanks so much, we're looking forward to seeing your lovely work.

Marché(s) Cible(s)
We're young, fairly hip and madly in love.
I work for an advertising agency as a project manager so I know how hard the logo/branding process can be... I'm most excited to see unique ideas, anything handdrawn or unique is a HUGE plus, since nobody else will ever have anything just like it.

Exigences
Doit avoir
- Flying pig - our mascot and guiding force.
Bien d'avoir
- Our names or initials - It would be very cool if they were somehow incorporated into the pig itself. I know thats a tough ask, but it would be a special way for this to be uniquely ours.
Ne doit pas comporter
- Too many elements of the images I've attached. I could have manipulated some of the flying pig I found in a google image search.
Anything overly cutesy or juvenile.
