Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a new Food & Beverage franchise based in Adelaide, Australia. The name of the business is 'Kopi Co.' ('Kopi' means 'coffee' in Malay).

We want to market ourselves as a colonial Asian coffee shop - modern and clean, yet evoking the British colonial style from the 60s and 70s. Our menu contains many varieties of Asian coffee and tea, Western coffee & tea, various breakfast products such as toast and eggs and a select range of South East Asian dishes (laksa, roti etc.).

We don't have any fixed ideas for the logo, but perhaps something which incorporates wooden elements - be it texture, colour or something else - may work. We have also toyed with the idea of incorporating a kopi cup, or perhaps the Chinese translation of 'Kopi Co.' (咖啡公司) as a subtitle, into the logo. We'd like the final design to be modern, clean, inviting, and somewhat evocative of the British colonial look from the 60s and 70s. In terms of tone, we're trying to strike that fine balance between sophistication and playfulness.
