Brief de Design de Logo

Okay...we need a logo.

You are going to set the tone of our packaging design, our website, our point of purchase displays..EVERYTHING.

We have been shopping the idea with three local pet stores in the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis/St. Paul (Minnesota) and they love the idea.

So what is the story?

We spend $20 to buy the hottest new cat toy.
We give it to our cats.
They ignore it and then go play with a bottle cap.
Ouch.

Well we are going to help...we are "upcycling" every day household products and providing people a fun, inexpensive way to entertain their cats. Using every day items around the house. Bottle caps, scraps of leather, pieces of strings, twisted pieces of yarn..etc.

This is very tongue-in-cheek. We want it to be inexpensive, but fun and engaging.

We recognize that the word "ass" might offend someone...but that is okay...we aren't going to please everyone..right? (Plus it TOTALLY gets people's attention..right?)

We want to be able to connect people with the story quickly. If you are pet owner..you already know what we are talking about. The logo is going to be CRITICAL to that.

People are tired of crap that you don't use. You spend all the money on toy..only to have it destroyed, tossed aside, forgotten or worse..ignored all together.

We believe that there is a niche for fun, thought out, inexpensive, 'green' feeling cat toys.

We think the packaging will be a simple plastic (recyclable) bag with a kraft paper/cardboard fold over top piece that will be stapled to the product..so it can 'hang' in the pet stores.

We are thinking a simple logo. Like a line drawing. Black and white. Really simple and smart.

We also think that a cat should be somehow represented in the logo. We have been toying with the idea of a "winking cat" image. So that people see that we are all in on the same joke.
