Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a new company based in Switzerland. Appearance AG is offering different Marketing services, including the currently most active Business Unit 'WebAppearance' which does Online-Marketing/Search Engine Marketing.
Also other Business Units are planned for the future, which have to do with topics like in the lifestyle field (eventually also fashion field) and sponsoring.
The challenge now is to find a logo which fits to hopefully all this sections. We really could imagine that the logo is a composition out of two or three parts:
1) A symbol which should be professional and modern, but fits to the name Appearance, to the Web and most possible to lifestyle/fashion
2) the name Appearance
3) easy to expanded with another word to show the different Units later, e.g. "WEB" in the front, like @Appearance = WEB@Appearance = or BEST@Appearance, etc.
We would like to see designs that use also warm colors, like purple, ruby, etc. and fresh colors like green. For the text also a dark grey could be nice. It is also possible to play with different colors for different units later (we just should think about this already now!) Formats like 'Bold' or one word in 'Bold' the other word 'regular' are imaginable.
Maybe a molecular structure or a special shape of an eye could be a nice symbol (but not to much Eye-like. The symbol should NOT communicate that we are into Cosmetics or Laser!)
