Brief de Design de Logo

We are strategy and innovation consultants dealing with business customers, mostly mid-size companies looking for business turnaround. The company is called 'Ex Novo' which stands for 'anew', 'brand new', 'fresh start' in Latin. This is what we would like to convey via our corporate identity.

This is also true for ourselves - the company is a new venture by experts with over 10 years of in-house strategist experience at large international businesses or research companies.
Our core areas of expertise are:
- market penetration strategies: opportunity sizing and development of programmes for businesses in export markets
- strategy communication: programmes to assist customer in mobilisation and engagement of their teams for the new vision and strategy
- creative analysis and visualisation: development of tailored analysis and visualisations to assist in telling complicated business cases in simple, visually appealing and convincing manner
- consumer-driven innovation: development of new products and propositions based on consumer insights
To put it simply - we are passionate about working together with our customers to ignite, vitalize and grow their businesses.

Ex Novo "housekeeping" and further process


With just 2 days left to go with the contest we really would like to thank all designers for the efforts and great ideas.

The process will have the next steps.

1) "Housekeeping"
By this time we have already provided our feedback for each of the submission (some combined - for variations) without eliminating them as we believe - each idea can be developed into a brilliant idea.
Now with over 200 designs we will start to shortlist them.

This will leave give you also some time for you. If your design gets eliminated - it does not mean that it is not good. We just have found few more appealing. But you still have some time to come up with something absolutely different and hit the mark!
Some variations will be gone. For designs with a lot of updates and variations we will leave only most expressive ones on the list. We always can come back to other variation during the fine-tuning process if your design will be chosen.

2) Voting and deciding
We will take consumer-engaged approach to selection process. This means - we will not limit the poll with our friends and relatives only (they all are too deep into that and might have their prejudices about how we should look like).
We will ask selected customers what do they think and which designs fit our brand most - this will provide us some outside-in views. :)
This will take few days - we will not delay the decision making but please have some patience while our customers share their insights.
The we will make the final decision - obviously, we are the decision makers... - and let us start fine-tuning.
Besides the first prize, we have reserved 5 participation payments as we expect a bunch of good designs and hard working people we would like to thank.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We have decided to engage our best customers in decision making - we will give them some time to consider and vote for designs. Meanwhile we will keep project open for more submissions - why should not we give more chance to your great ideas to mature (or even add some).

    Colours: no specific preference unless matching the values above; might play around the associations with fresh fruit (green, orange, raspberry red etc.)
    Elements: consider graphics to look good in BW / reverse

  • Typeface: no traditional stock or too futuristic fonts
    Colours: try to avoid complex gradients
    Elements: no stock cliparts, avoid using old stereotypes of growing business charts etc. :)
