Hi Mark, thank you for the brief.

Just a couple of questions:

First, is it a business card or a logo or both that you need?

Second, no offence but your logo is terrible. If you want an Anniversary logo looking as good as the examples you uploaded, it will have to be drastically revamped otherwise it will clash awfully.

Please let me know your thoughts about this.

I am open to altering the logo, and making it look a little more modern without being totally different from what we already have. We would only want something that appears to be a natural progression from the original logo.

The logo could also be a small part of it, if that helps with the overall design, and tying everything together in a way that doesn't clash.

So depending on the artist, one could choose to revamp the logo, and do the '35' logo, or else just a '35' logo based on the current logo.

No, this is not a dead contest.  We are just a little slow to make a decision and want to make sure we have seen everything before selecting a design.
