Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo design for a new law firm - Obenshain Law Group. I am a litigator with 25+ years of experience about to launch my second new law firm. We will be handling commercial disputes and serious personal injury cases. I want to convey experience and competence. I am currently a State Senator in my part of Virginia and last year I ran for Attorney General of Virginia, losing by about 700 votes in a race with 2.2 million votes cast. My name is recognizable and even though I lost, in my market region, I received nearly 70% of the vote. A copy of my campaign logo is attached. I don't want to duplicate it, but I don't mind drawing from it. I would be inclined to drop the image of the state of Virginia. The logo will be used initially in my signage and web design, but also adapted for biz cards and letterhead.
