I am sure your not refering to me with the "clip art" comment.
I assure you only image used is the car they submitted, thank you.
Any questions?

No questions. I'll just shake my head and move on. I sure would like to see the look on their face when they find out they won't be able to do any large format signage, or apparel for that matter.

Dear satz31,
Well I never realized we would ever greet such jealous reasoning. (it must be this type of reasoning as we cannot for the life of us come up with any rational reason for such an "ill informed attack")
First it really is not of your business is it?
second, I have consulted the customer beyond a reasonable doubt so that they fully know what to expect from all designs, actually have worked extensively with them, what you see on here now may not be the final solution, ever considered that?
third, as for "larger signage or apparel", I Can get to 18" wide logo as of now no issues with their car image. And have plenty of vector auto images, actually a extensive library of them, (nice to have by the way) and if it is not in the company library, I will certainly do whatever it takes to get what is needed to make a customer happy with their final designs, now and in the future. (We have been in business for 15+ years, and plan on being here another 15+ and longer)
Fourth, I have discussed with this customer, as I do all my customers, that we are here for them for any reason they see fit, now, a year from now, or years from now. I stand behind, in front, and beside my work at all times. Simple changes can be made to make the logo extensively sizeable, if at any time the customer desires these changes. (as for now they are ecstatic of the final design, size and all)
Fithly, I have seen many things here and everywhere that I could comment on (but only if I knew the whole story behind what I wanted to comment on, I have always thought ill informed comments to be inconsiderate and a waste of time) but I feel that people should learn as we have over the years, I do accept any and all criticism as a form of learning, anyone that says they do not need to learn, is, well, a fool in need of education.
I really could go on and on, I do hope I have made my position clear and that this helps you make more "informed" decisions in the near future.
I apologize for taking up anyones time and the internet space to write this but felt it needed to be addressed as clearly as possible.
Thank you for your time, and consideration
Larry Martin

First of all, the last thing I am is jealous of anyone's work, trust me on this one. And my issues on this site are not necessarily just with certain designers as it is with uninformed clients who just don't know any better, know what to look for, and give some thought to how their logo will be used. If designers want to slap in an image off the internet, it's their business, but it doesn't make it right. The good thing about this site is that there are "watchdogs" that try to prevent that from happening. Due to the many pieces of original art that I have created over the years being ripped off, copied and butchered, I cringe at the use of stock art (the exception being photo images of something I can't take myself due to subject matter or location). I'm sure that out of all the vector art auto images (all originals, I'm sure), you'll find something that will work. Congrats on what I believe is your first win.
