Brief de Design de Figurine

About the Client


Our company's mission is to enable gamers to play mobile games in a better and more precise way. We've been making bluetooth gamepads for gamers of iOS & Android devices for a few months now and we have recently introduced our new website (http://bit.ly/INcC8p) featuring - a fun and cool looking monkey - the company's mascot.


About the Job


We want to bring the monkey to life. Right now he can only be spotted on the company's logo, but we got plans on featuring in different poses, outfits and actions on our website; and in the near future also on merchandise, our products, promotional animations and videos, and much more.


A good example of a company that has done this before is www.hootsuite.com for instance.


Our company is therefore looking for a talented illustrator who can help us to achieve this.


As a first job, we want you to think of and draw five vector graphics (.AI) featuring the monkey in a way can be used to indicate each one of the following five tag words:

* gaming
* announcement
* question
* searching
* awesome/happy/time-to-celebrate

(i.e. 1 word = 1 graphic; all-together 5 graphics)

As long as the viewer can easily understand the requested meaning behind the graphics you are free to come up with your own solutions. You may use a background for better illustration, but we need to be able to use the vector of the monkey character on various other backgrounds.


Character Style & Colors

It is of utmost importance however that the color setting, shape and style of the monkey is not being altered in a way that he is no longer recognized as the company's monkey. He may wear a different outfit however, commit different actions and poses and use all the devices whichever necessary. The size of the character should not be altered in any significant way however, as we plan on using the vectors in conjunction with the company name, slogans, or tag line when necessary.


Should we be satisfied with your work, expect to see a lot more work coming your way, as we will need far more illustrations for merchandise, ad banners, packaging design, etc.


Artist(s) should be:


* Able to show examples of previous work that is of a similar scope.
* Should be able to animate graphics, this may be of an advantage as this will be a skill required for future projects.
* Willing to deliver work in the format as required.
* Able to work within the timeline as established.

The target group is mostly young guys aged between 14-35, with the majority being between 25 and 34 old.
