Brief de Design de Logo

Logo for a home building and remdeling company, located in Albuquerque,NM. Successful, established, sophisticated yet approachable. Homes from $400,000 to $2M.
My past logos have been inside an oval with traditional proportions. I like my last logo but have changed our name, slightly and it's very traditional looking. I want to present a more contemporary yet classic image. I think the oval shape is recognizable, for us. So a logo in an oval or facsimile.
Our building style is everything from 'old world' to 'comtemporary'.
We are known for our design details and quality of our product.
We are well known for the Joseph name. We have recently changed form Joseph Homes to Joseph Custom Homes.
