Remember - I want this logo to be recognizable for someone that knows our current website - http://www.theaterscene.net - but to represent a freshening up - a modernizing of what we currently have.  the new logo doesn''t have to be as busy as the current one but it should convey to the viewer that it naturally fits for a site that does reviews of theater, musicals, cabaret, dance, etc.  our current logo looks like we are looking at the back of the conductor and you can see the lights above the stage.  Something I was thinking to replace the conductor but still keep the feeling of live performance is a stylized 1940''s microphone between theater and Scene.  I also on the fonts like a thicker font and I like Proper Case rather than all being lower or upper case.  Also the blue I currently have is evocative of the stage background and the yellow represents the spotlights.  I want to keep the blue and yellow colors since they are recognizeable for our website logo but perhaps the blue can be more the background again and the yellow can be upwards criss-crossed spotlights like on an opening night rather than now that they look like they are shining down from the top of the stage.  We don''t need to keep any of the stick figures performing.  these are some ideas.  I''m not just looking for a logo that looks like it could be done by me in MS word just playing with the fonts and font colors.
