Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre

I need a cover for my novel called Kept. It's set in Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. My heroine lives on the eighteenth floor in Metropolitan Tower (310 S. Michigan Avenue) and has a view of Buckingham Fountain and the lake. The fountain is important to the story.

My idea for the cover is to show my heroine from the back, shoulders and up maybe?, looking out her 18th floor window onto Buckingham Fountain and Lake Michigan. The fountain would need to be off to the right in her window to be accurate to the area. I'd like to give her a pensive feel, like a hand against the glass or something like that. She's a kept woman who's become trapped in her lifestyle, and I want to show her doubts and regrets. If possible, I'd love a reflection of a man's face in the window. like he's behind her but out of our view.

The book starts in May so I'm going for a spring feel and color theme. I'd also like it to be a daytime shot. The fountain also has hourly water shows where the center jet shoots 150 feet into the air. I would love for the shot of the fountain to include that.

The target audience is women college-aged to mid-forties.

I do plan on future books in this series, so I would love to find a designer I can continue to work with.

This novel is women's fiction with a strong romance. The typical reader will be a woman anywhere from twenty to early to mid-forties. The book is set in a major American city, so we're appealing to women who like sophisticated urban settings.
