What is the proposition?

Participation payments are giving out by the client if they have worked with a designer before (and like their work) and it is used as an incentive for them to take part. You don''t ask for them, and if people do on here ignore them, otherwise you pay them money, and don''t like what they''ve done they get money for nothing, whilst everyone else is working away hoping to "win" - it is a competition, exactly the same as a free pitch.
