Brief de Design de Logo

I need a logo to represent my new business www.kindlehire.co.uk which hires out Kindles and other e-readers to people who are perhaps going into hospital or on holiday for a short while and want a kindle but don't want to use their iPad or tablet kindle app as the screen is hard to read in sun or want the expense of buying a kindle outright.
The design should incorporate the words kindlehire.co.uk and can either be just word based or include images. I'm looking for something that is vibrant, fun and modern and ideally set against a white background. Thanks.

I just wanted to get in touch to give an update to my original brief.

First of all, many thanks indeed for all your submissions. Discovering DesignCrowd has been a real god-send for me. I've really enjoyed pondering over the designs submitted so far and look forward to making my decision and finding a designer with whom I expect to be able to continue to work with in the future on additional projects on this venture.

I had previously stated i liked navy/orange as a colour combination. However, after some independent feedback on some of the designs, its been mentioned how the navy/orange colouring is very reminiscent of another less than inspiring brand and now I cant get that out of my head!

I therefore wanted to amend the brief to keep an open mind on colour combinations and therefore invite anyone interested to resubmit in whatever colour combination you feel works best. My only real dislike is for brown.

I do still like the Harabara font but have since discovered Bliss Regular which I like very much as is very similar to the Kindle logo font used by Amazon. Saying that, my knowledge of available fonts is extremely limited so feel free to expand my mind with any others you feel look great!

The people I'm targeting will be book readers from all walks of life who need a kindle whilst either on holiday or hospital for example. They don't care for traditional paper books and therefore might be of the generation happy to experiment and use technology. They will expect to the kindle hire company they use to be and appear modern and trustworthy.

  • A white background would be good but the logo itself can be bright, bold and vibrant in any selection of colours (except brown and yellow)
Bien d'avoir
  • It would be good to have a logo that incorporates an illustration / abstract feature that can also be used alone separately. This isn't mandatory but something I quite like the idea of.

    I've come to realise I rather like the font 'Bliss Regular' by Jeremy Tankard which is very similar to the Kindle font used by Amazon. Harabara is also a font I'm fond of however don't feel obliged to stick to these fonts. Submit what you feel looks best and I can always ask you to resubmit in the other fonts later.

  • No old style traditional fonts like times new roman. Modern and slick is most definitely the key.
    Please also avoid browns and yellows.
