Brief de Web Design

Our client currently has a very simple website at www.showtime4realestate.com that is very, very dated, uses flash, and the template needs to have an updated look for 2014. It needs to look professional, corporate, strong colors, and if using images, actors must have a very well dressed look, etc. Client likes the layout (but not necessarily the colors, etc.) of another similar product site, www.realtytools.com, for example.

The Showtime product is an online "presentation document builder" that uses up-to-date content for agents to create 20 - 40 page presentations for potential clients. Real estate agents pay $500+ one-time plus $85/year to use the service, so the website look needs to be consistent with a $500+ product. All of the content will stay essentially the same for now: the goal is to simply re-skin the site to make it look modern, ideally through the use of new CSS files and images, and maybe some script. But we do not want to recode the whole thing, just update the template.

The site layout also needs to work with mobile devices, and so the flash has to be removed, but there is still a need to have possibly a slideshow or something to quickly grab the attention of people who visit the site so they can very quickly understand what the product is.

Also, the plan is to cut down on some of the menu buttons and/or rename them to be more compelling. There are pages on the site that can only be viewed after logging in, and we will want to use the template for those secure pages also.
