Fundraising event for an elementary school needs a Logo Design

Our G2G (Gourmet-to-Go) event, which is held annually, raises funds for our elementary school library.
Our current logo contains a hat and a wooden spoon, which only partially represents our offerings. It might help to add a generic symbol that represents drink since we've been known to offer wine baskets, tea baskets and gourmet lemonade. Or a symbol that represents food. Or, perhaps it simply contains three large letters (G2G) with Gourmet-to-Go spelled out below it. We prefer something simple and easy to identify. The following is a brief write up of the event:
G2G is not just a bake sale, though there are baked sweets available for purchase, we also offer savory food items that are homemade by our parents, grandparents, teachers and staff members. Beautifully wrapped baskets, crafted plates of treats, whole pies, cakes and sweet breads are a few of the items offered for purchase are typically given as gifts or simply taken home to enjoy. In some ways, G2G is a mini "taste of Crestview" - an opportunity for families and friends to continue bonding as a community through their love of food, while at the same time encouraging a love of reading.
Last year we auctioned off homemade gourmet dinners and desserts feeding from 6 to 20 people. Preparation and delivery time of these items are arranged with the donor outside the event and expire no later than a year from the date of purchase. This year's G2G will also include "Family Favorites" Casseroles, carefully packaged and prepared for consumption that evening or within a day or two. Ingredients will be provided to avoid food allergies.

Our food baskets have ethnic themes and contain foods from Mexico, Italy, India, North America, etc.. Not sure if this helps or not, but I thought I'd mention it. We do use a lot of picnic table cloths (which are checkerboard), Perhaps a Gingham look might work. Just thinking out loud.
