We need a new corporate identity for the Portsmouth Housing Authority. For over 60 years, the Portsmouth Housing Authority has provided affordable housing options for thousands of families, senior citizens and people with disabilities in Portsmouth. Portsmouth is a beautiful and historic city in the heart of New England's seacoast. The PHA has been instrumental in not only providing affordable housing, but also in preserving historic Portsmouth, one of the oldest cities in the United States. Portsmouth hosts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year from around the world.

Thank you so much for all of you who have submitted designs for the Portsmouth Housing Authority.  We're just starting to review the 57 designs that have been submitted so far and are still welcoming more.

I'll try to take some more photos in the next couple of days that highlight the historic nature of our city and our properties that may spur some new ideas.  While the designs I like the best so far do incorporate some of the architectural elements of the buildings, I should also say that we always try to put our residents first.  While we do manage property, we are really about the 1,000 people...seniors, families and people with disabilities that we serve.  

Unfortuately many of the designs features graphics that appeared to be single family homes, but we do not own or operate any single family homes, only larger multifamily complexes so those designs will not work.   

We are going to start to eliminate some designs as well.
