Brief de Design de Logo

We have an existing Wordmark logo (attached). We need an icon to place with this .

This is a pure icon/logo should go to the right or the left of the word Clipparoo as seen here: http://www.clipparoo.com/graphics/clipparoo_logo.gif

The original idea was to include a Kangaroo and a Paper-Clip. It will be tempting to just come up with kangaroo themes. HOWEVER, although we will not discard all kangaroo ideas and if it’s very clever we might embrace it, but remember, this is a business site and must be sophisticated. You can be literal or abstract-it is all about first impressions.


Clipparoo is a social collaboration and customer management platform that increases individual and team productivity, communication and engagement.We want a logo that is sophisticated, relevant for a business audience and yet reflects a sense of fun and ease of use. While it is a serious business tool, its also something that individuals can use to collaborate with friends and colleagues (think of it as a (“Pinterest for Business”)

* We need a company logo designed for use online and offline
* Colors are FIXED. Please no other colors)
* It needs to work well on two different grey/taupe backgrounds (one light/one dark). Shades of grey-blues would be preferable.
* Final logo needs to be long and thin with a ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 (per height: 1 to length: 6 or 7)to fit in the appropriate space.

* The icon needs to be able to stand on its own as a favicon/icon and social media button.

I discovered this morning that many of you do not know why I need a new logo when my present logo is so perfect.   This logo was created by a designer at Design Crowd in October, but was essentially copied from an existing company that has the (within pixels) identical logo.     I was very disappointed and just discovered that I owned a logo that belonged to another company last week.  Design Crowd has agreed to run the contest again.      I want a sophisticated icon.  The text font SHOULD NOT change. I have purchased that font and it will not change.   I need an icon.  It does NOT need to be a kangaroo.  I do NOT want a "literal" kangaroo and the colors cannot change.
