Brief de Design de Logo

We need a new logo for our multi-faceted business. We are a family run and family oriented resort and marina located on Drummond Island (located off the eastern tip of Michigan's Upper Peninsula on Lake Huron) and though we want the logo to reflect this identity, we are also a construction company and would like a version of the logo that incorporates the word construction for applications related to this aspect of our business. As with most logos, this logo will be used in ads and on letterhead, clothing, merchandise, burgees, signage, etc. Currently, our signage is forest green with gold leaf lettering, however, we are open to other color combinations. I have attached a file with our current logo which includes the shape of our island which is unique and identifiable, however, we are open to logos that do not incorporate the island shape (it is used by many businesses on the island).
