Brief de Design Icône

Frontiers is an international open access
scientific publishing company with our headquarters in Lausanne,
Switzerland. We have 40,000 users currently registered on our site and anticipate this number to quadruple in the next 12 months. Our goal: revolutionize academic publishing by using state-of-the-art interactive web platforms, applying rigorous peer review, and upholding sound scientific principles to guide how our research is published. We have successfully launched journals in 12 fields, each composed of a number of specialties, and we are working with colleagues from many different disciplines to create a grassroots, researcher-driven publishing solution for the entire academic tree.

We need a number of icons to represent a range of different areas/features on our website. We already have icons for these areas, which can be seen on our homepage (at the bottom): www.frontiersin.org.

To specify, they are:
- Events
- Jobs
- People
- Books
- News
- Images
- Videos
- Blogs

In addition to these we need 2 additional icons to represent:
- Publications
- Topics

That is a total of 10 icons, with the following requirements:

1. Each icon must have a colour as well as black and white version (so 20 as a final total).
2. Current versions on our website need to be simplified, with a more iconic feel to them. Similar to something you would see on an app. Simple, but clear to the user what it represents.
3. As one of the world's up and coming online publishers, it's important that we create a 'Frontiers' feel to these. We want to be unique, without looking like other websites.
