This sounds like a fun project to work on. Could you possibly elaborate a little on what the doggy treats may look like – will they take the shape of a bone or more like a cookie or biscuit? Or, should it be fairly non-specific ... just so as not to mislead the consumer too much.

I was seriously disappointed this morning after discovering that this competition has closed early!
I have spent some valuable hours designing a logo for this job only to find out it was a complete waste of time.
I checked my watchlist yesterday and there were still three days left to submit – apparently, not so.

Surely some notification that the competition was about to close early would have been the fair and respectful way to go, no?
