Compass Kids — Logo & Brand Identity
Brand: Compass Kids
Tagline: Learning to Navigate Life with God
Organization: Nall Avenue Church of the Nazarene
I’m looking for a cohesive visual identity for our new children’s ministry, Compass Kids. I’ve attached a 2-page brand sheet with our color palette, visual inspiration, classroom names, logo examples, preferred aesthetic, and examples of how we envision using the brand. Please use that as the primary creative direction.
What I’m looking for
I would love a main logo/wordmark that feels distinctive, warm, adventurous, and polished while still being fun and inviting for children.
Ideally, the identity would include:
A primary Compass Kids logo
A simplified secondary mark/brand stamp
Versions that work with and without the tagline
Full-color and one-color versions
A design that remains recognizable at smaller sizes
The logo should be flexible enough to work across shirts, signage, wall graphics/murals, volunteer name tags, newsletters, promotional materials, and social media.
The heart of the brand is learning to navigate life with God. The compass/navigation idea is important, but I’m open to creative interpretations of that concept rather than needing a literal compass.
I’m especially interested in creating a brand system, not just a standalone logo—something that gives us a visual language we can carry throughout our Children's Ministry spaces and communications.
The attached brand sheet shows the colors, examples of logos I’m drawn to, visual elements I like, and things I’m specifically trying to avoid. I’ve had a lot of fun putting together the initial direction, and I’m looking for a designer to take those ideas and turn them into a cohesive, professional identity.
