Pinkies Up MF — Logo & Apparel Brand Identity
I am looking for a designer to create an iconic, eye-catching, retail-ready logo for a new marketing brand called Pinkies Up MF.
This is not meant to be a safe, corporate, generic marketing-company logo. Pinkies Up MF should feel like a confident toast to doing business differently: elevated, clever, disruptive, funny, a little rebellious, and impossible to ignore.
The final brand needs to look as good on a premium T-shirt, hat, hoodie, sticker, coffee mug, website, and social-media profile as it does on a proposal or business card. I want something people will genuinely want to wear—not just a logo that sits in the corner of a website.
Brand personality
Think:
Funky, bold, unexpected, and memorable
Classy with attitude
Premium but not pretentious
Clever, playful, slightly irreverent
Loud enough to stand out, clean enough to feel like a real brand
More “exclusive club with a wink” than typical marketing agency
The name plays on the gesture of raising a pinky while drinking—elevated standards, confidence, celebration, and a little bit of “we’re doing this our way.”
Name hierarchy
The primary name should be:
Pinkies Up
“MF” should be incorporated in a smart, subtle, secondary way. It can work as a small tag, stamp, accent, hidden detail, or supporting mark—but it should not overpower “Pinkies Up” or become the focal point.
The initials stand for “Mother F’er,” but the logo should not need to spell that out. I want it to retain some mystery, humor, and edge while still being usable in public-facing retail and business settings.
Design direction
I am open to creative interpretations, but I would love to see original ideas involving one or more of these directions:
A distinctive raised-pinky hand gesture or pinky icon
A clever monogram or symbol built around P, U, or MF
A badge, crest, stamp, emblem, or mark with cult-brand energy
An upscale cocktail-club, streetwear, vintage-luxury, or bold modern vibe
A logo that works both as a full wordmark and as a recognizable standalone icon
I do not want generic marketing imagery: no lightbulbs, rockets, bar charts, megaphones, generic crowns, or obvious stock clip-art. Please avoid designs that look like a standard corporate agency, beauty salon, cannabis brand, or bachelor-party novelty shirt.
Apparel and retail requirements
This logo must work exceptionally well for merchandise and screen printing.
Please consider:
A design that is recognizable from across a room
Strong readability at small sizes, including a social-profile image
A one-color version that prints cleanly on shirts, hats, and stickers
Full-color and reversed/light-on-dark options
A version that works as a chest logo, back graphic, sleeve detail, hat patch, or small embroidered mark
Original artwork only—no AI-generated clip art, copied logos, or stock graphics
I am especially interested in a logo system that includes a main logo plus a smaller icon, badge, or monogram for apparel and social media.
Tagline options
Please explore the logo both with and without a tagline. I have not finalized one yet. Possible directions include:
Raise your pinky. Raise the bar.
We turn “meh” into money-making memorable.
Pinky promises. Big-business behavior.
My current favorite for the main brand is: Raise your pinky. Raise the bar.
Deliverables
Please provide final artwork in editable vector formats, including AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, PNG, and JPG. I will need:
Full-color logo
Black logo
White/reversed logo
Primary horizontal and stacked versions
Standalone icon, badge, or monogram
Print-ready, high-resolution files suitable for retail merchandise
My goal is simple: create a brand identity that makes someone stop, smile, ask what it means, and want the shirt.
Small but important suggestion
For broader retail use, consider treating “MF” as the inside-joke shorthand in the logo, while using the full phrase only selectively in marketing copy or limited-edition merchandise. That preserves the bite of the brand without making the main mark harder to stock, wear, or promote publicly. Designers benefit from clear rules on hierarchy and usage contexts, especially when the mark must work across apparel, social, and print.

Pinkies Up MF is built for ambitious, personality-driven small-business owners, entrepreneurs, sales professionals, and local brands that are ready to stand out. Our ideal clients are typically ages 28–50, value premium presentation and measurable growth, and are tired of boring, cookie-cutter marketing. They want their business to look elevated, sound memorable, and attract the right attention. The merchandise side of the brand is for entrepreneurs, creatives, marketers, real estate professionals, and anyone who believes business can be polished, profitable, and a little unhinged—in the best way. Pinkies Up MF is for people who raise their standards, raise their visibility, and—of course—raise their pinky.

Doit avoir
- Bold, distinctive type with character Premium streetwear, country-club swagger, cocktail-club polish, or modern vintage energy Strong lines and clean shapes that print well A limited, intentional palette—possibly black, cream, pink, gold, red, electric accent color, or another unexpected premium combination A design that looks intentional in black and white before relying on color A balance of clever humor and real business credibility.“Pinkies Up” is the primary focus. It needs to be immediately readable and memorable. “MF” is a clever secondary detail. Make it a subtle tag, stamp, monogram, hidden accent, or small supporting line—not the focal point. A signature icon or mark. Ideally a recognizable raised-pinky gesture, stylized hand, monogram, crest, or abstract symbol that can stand alone without the full name. Original personality. It should feel confident, polished, cheeky, bold, and unexpected—“classy-ish, effective as hell”—rather than corporate or juvenile. Merchandise-first impact. It must look great on the front of a T-shirt, a hat patch, hoodie back print, sticker, tumbler, and social-media avatar. Instant recognition. Someone should be able to spot the mark quickly, remember it, and understand the elevated-but-rebellious attitude.
