Powers - Logo Design
Brief de Design de Logo
Powers is a Texas-based investment company that builds and backs companies across the physical economy. Think Berkshire Hathaway in spirit.
We need a primary logo: a mark/icon plus the wordmark "Powers." We have an idea we like as a starting point but want real creative range here.
The idea: something built from simple geometric shapes that suggests two parties or parcels of land coming together — a partnership, common ground, a relationship. One example we've sketched is two overlapping squares (reference images attached) — but that's a starting point, not a spec. We're just as open to a monogram, an abstract mark, or something built from the letter P, as long as it's geometric and restrained rather than illustrative or literal (no handshake icons, no globe icons, nothing cliché).
Wordmark: "Powers".
Color system: Grayscale. No bright accent colors, no gradients, no drop shadows or 3D effects — restrained and editorial.
Tone reference: anduril.com — not for its color (we don't want their lime green), but for the confidence and restraint: tight type, lots of negative space, nothing trendy or "startup generic."
Deliverables needed:
- Icon/monogram that works alone as a favicon and app icon
- Primary lockup: icon + "Powers" wordmark, horizontal
- Secondary lockup: stacked (icon above wordmark)
- One-color versions (all-black on white, all-white on dark)
- Vector files (AI/EPS/SVG) plus PNG exports at multiple sizes
