Brief de Design Graphique

Red Nose Factory is a small independent company that handcrafts premium silicone clown noses for performers, clowns, artists, cosplayers, and collectors.

For Halloween, we want to temporarily transform our existing brand rather than replace it.

The idea is:

Red Nose Factory “puts up its Halloween decorations.”

It should still feel recognizably Red Nose Factory, but darker, stranger, more theatrical, and seasonal.

Creative Direction

We want the campaign to feel:

Spooky + theatrical + handmade + strange + playful + sophisticated

Possible influences:

Vintage Halloween
Vaudeville and silent film
Old theatre and stage scenery
Antique posters and ephemera
Ghosts, skeletons, bats, cobwebs, pumpkins, monsters
Handmade carnival or theatrical props

Think:

Buster Keaton meets vintage Halloween.

We do not want:

Children's Halloween graphics
Generic Halloween clip art
Mass-market costume-store aesthetics
Generic horror graphics
Overly polished corporate design
Cute cartoon Halloween
Generic AI-fantasy imagery
The Product Must Stay Real

We will provide real photographs of our silicone noses.

The noses should remain the actual products shown. We want backgrounds, environments, typography, textures, props, frames, and other design elements built around the real product photography.

An important goal is creating a reusable visual environment where we can easily swap in different noses, colors, products, headlines, and promotions throughout the season.

Contest Deliverables

Please show us a visual direction that could expand into the complete Halloween campaign.

Create:

Primary Halloween Collection Graphic and product thumbnail
A strong hero image establishing the overall look using our current website.
Website / Landing Page graphic
Social Media Graphic
Preferably 4:5 Instagram format.
Show your suggested typography, colors, textures, backgrounds, and other key graphic elements.

We will provide our logo, Halloween logo variation, product photography, and existing brand references.

What Matters Most

We are looking for:

Strong typography and composition
A distinctive visual concept
Understanding of our handmade/theatrical brand
Good use of real product photography
A system that can work across website, social, email, and promotions
Something reusable without every graphic looking identical

We are not just looking for one attractive poster. We want the foundation of a recognizable Halloween campaign.

Ongoing Opportunity

We are also using this project to find a designer for ongoing freelance work with Red Nose Factory.

Future projects may include social graphics, website assets, email, packaging, stickers, merchandise, product launches, and event materials.

We are interested in someone with strong traditional design ability who is also comfortable using modern tools, including AI where appropriate.
