Brief de Design de Logo
Looking for a logo that signifies a hand raising in the air saying pick me I'm ready for the job. Pick me, pick me.
Project Overview
I need a logo for Day Labor Work .com, a gig marketplace that connects contractors and employers with local day laborers for trades work — construction, painting, drywall, carpentry, landscaping, tree service, deliveries, and more. Think of it as the "raise your hand" platform: workers signal they're available, employers find help fast.
The Core Concept
The icon should feature a raised open hand — not a waving hand, not a stop gesture, but the universal "pick me, I'm here, I'm ready" gesture. Think of someone in a crowd eagerly raising their hand to volunteer. The energy is confident, willing, and blue-collar proud. This is a person saying I show up, I work hard, pick me.
The hand should feel like a logo mark — bold, clean, and iconic enough to work as a standalone app icon or favicon. Avoid hyper-realistic or overly detailed illustration styles. Think graphic, flat or semi-flat, with strong silhouette recognition.
Logo Layout
Icon on the left + wordmark to the right. The wordmark should read "Day Labor Work" — you may stylize or condense as needed, but keep it readable and professional. This will sit in the top-left header of a website, so horizontal lockup is the priority.
Tone and Style
Hardworking. Approachable. Trustworthy. This isn't a Fortune 500 company — it's a tool built for real tradespeople and small contractors. The design should feel grounded and practical, not corporate or overly polished. Think of brands like TaskRabbit or Thumbtack but with a more blue-collar, boots-on-the-ground feel.
Deliverables Expected
Please provide the logo on a transparent background, suitable for placement on both light and dark website headers.
I really like the concept that ziprecruiter.com has. Simple logo that explains exactly what it's all about.

Doit avoir
- A raised open hand icon as the primary mark — the "pick me, I'm ready" type gesture. Icon on the left with the wordmark "Day Labor Work" to the right. Must work on both light and dark backgrounds. Clean, bold silhouette that reads well at small sizes (favicon/app icon).
Bien d'avoir
- A strong, condensed sans-serif font for the wordmark that feels blue-collar and confident. The hand should feel human and approachable — not robotic or overly geometric.
Ne doit pas comporter
- No corporate or overly polished styles. No pastel or soft colors. No waving hand or stop-hand gestures — the hand must read as raised and eager, not casual. No clipart-style illustration.
