Horse Shepherd Equine Sanctuary provides a safe and ethical refuge for horses, ponies and donkeys who have nowhere else to go. Some arrive needing rehabilitation and careful retraining, while others find permanent sanctuary here due to age, injury or behavioural needs.

Our mission is simple: to improve the physical and psychological wellbeing of every animal in our care.

At Horse Shepherd we focus on:
• Rescue and rehabilitation of horses in need
• Lifetime sanctuary for those who cannot be rehomed
• Education and advocacy for responsible horse care
• Equine rehabilitation services to help horses recover and thrive

Sponsor a Horse

One of the most meaningful ways to support our work is by sponsoring one of our residents. Each horse, pony or donkey only has one sponsor!

Your sponsorship helps provide:
• Hay and feed
• Veterinary care
• Hoof trimming and routine health care
• Rugs, shelter and daily care

Many of our horses will live out their lives here, and sponsorship ensures they are safe, well fed and cared for every single day.

Sponsorship starts from $15 - $25 per week / $60 -$100 per month.
