Brief de Design Graphique

I need a new logo for my new insurance business "Sabal Insurance Advisors". The name comes from the South Carolina state tree, the sabal palmetto, as seen on the state flag. I wish to use a similar color scheme to the state flag (indigo blue and white) and incorporate the image of the palmetto tree. I have attached a rough example of a drafted logo. I would like the logo to have a formal look similar to attorneys and financial institutions.
