1. About the brand
Mela’Aura Paris is a premium cosmetic brand specializing in skincare for medium to dark skin tones. Our current audience mainly includes African women aged 30–60.
We are expanding into textured haircare (wavy to coily hair) and want to reach a younger, multicultural audience (20–40 years old): African, Afro-European, Maghrebian, and European women.
We need a logo that is modern, premium, elegant, and suitable for pharmacies and high-end beauty retailers.
2. What we want to change from the current logo
Our existing logo feels outdated:
the square shape is too rigid
the two faces are unclear and look old-fashioned
the overall design doesn’t match the image of a modern premium brand
We want a logo that feels more contemporary, luxurious, minimal, clean, and versatile.
3. Colors
We currently use Bordeaux – Pantone 202C + gold.
However, keeping Pantone 202C is not mandatory.
We are open to more modern or refined interpretations, as long as the result remains premium.
4. Brand personality
The new logo should convey:
trust & efficacy (pharmacy / dermo-cosmetic)
luxury & sophistication
natural beauty
inclusivity (in a subtle, modern way)
freshness and modernity
We want an elegant and timeless identity, not ethnic or cliché.
5. Inspiration
We like the overall visual identity of the following brands:
Caudalie – natural, premium
Origins – botanical, clean, trustworthy
Ad Caelia – elegant, soft, premium minimalism
Typology – minimal, modern, dermo-cosmetic
Beauty of Joseon – refined, delicate, elegant
These references represent the mood, sophistication, and spirit we want for Mela’Aura.
