Hello Eddie, thanks for posting the project. You have set forth the desired execution of the logo and have provided examples. That is terrific. However, with the examples come the common thread of the negative space reinforcing the word itself (“horse” has a horse head, “carrot” shows a carrot, “light” shows a lightbulb. eddie is a person and not an inanimate object. While you have provided great adjectives that describe who eddie is, there does not seem to be an attention grabbing element that can be introduced - do you know what I mean? For example, if you were a race car driver, “eddie” could contain a steering wheel. Or if eddie was a black belt in karate, a belt could be introduced into the design. A construction worker, a hammer. And many other examples could be given. My primary question is what symbolic representation would you suggest? I see the words, grit, grace, curiosity, endurance, athlete, technologist (?), and faith-driven. I could perhaps see athlete and running shoe. Or grace and a spiritual connotation. Faith-driven, are you saying judaeo Christian beliefs or other? Just wondering it you could elaborate on what specific symbol you might lean towards in your design? May prove beneficial for designers to implement. Thank you for your time.
