Nina’s is a vibrant, Latin-inspired café serving specialty coffee and casual gourmet food such as sandwiches and soups. Our menu blends flavors from Veracruz, Mexico and Havana, Cuba, inspired by my grandmother, Nina, who was famous in Veracruz for her cooking and love of family.
The café represents a fusion of cultures, warmth, and authenticity. My husband and I grew up in different countries (Mexico and Cuba) and brought together our flavors and traditions to create something new for our customers — quick, flavorful, and heartfelt food for busy people who appreciate quality.

Nina’s is a warm, vibrant café concept that celebrates family, heritage, and the flavors of Latin comfort food. We’ll serve specialty coffee and casual gourmet food — including handcrafted sandwiches, soups, and baked goods — made with quality ingredients and authentic flavor.
Our menu and atmosphere blend the culinary traditions of Veracruz, Mexico and Havana, Cuba, inspired by my grandmother, Nina, who was beloved in Veracruz for her exceptional cooking and her heart for family. The café honors her legacy of love, food, and togetherness while introducing modern Latin flavor to today’s fast-paced lifestyle.
Design Goals
We are looking for a memorable, scalable, and cost-efficient logo that reflects:
A sense of warmth, authenticity, and family tradition.
The fusion of Mexican and Cuban culture, highlighting the richness and soul of both regions.
The brand’s culinary passion— coffee, soups, and gourmet sandwiches.
A modern yet timeless design that can grow with our business as we expand to new locations.
Design Style Preferences
Style Reference: We love the simplicity and recognizability of the Nando’s logo—something with character, charm, and easy reproduction across print, packaging, and signage.
Aesthetic: Latin-inspired, warm, and welcoming.
Logo Type: Combination mark (icon + wordmark).
Icon Ideas (optional inspiration):
Subtle references to Veracruz and Havana (e.g., tropical elements, coffee motifs, sea breeze, architecture, or culinary symbols).
Possibly an illustration or silhouette that feels human, artisanal, and heartfelt—not overly corporate.
Usage & Application
The logo will be used on:
Storefront signage (daytime and nighttime visibility).
Packaging (coffee cups, bags, sandwich wraps).

Future Vision
We plan to open a second location in the next two years, so the design should be timeless and flexible for brand expansion. The logo should help us establish a strong visual identity that customers instantly recognize—like a beloved neighborhood brand with national potential.
Additional Notes
Please avoid overly complex illustrations or gradients. The design should reproduce easily in single-color prints and remain visually strong when scaled down for merchandise or icons.
