Brief de Design Graphique

I am looking for a design for a classic 4-inch round pub coaster printed on heavyweight pulpboard. The look should be old-school, slightly vintage, like something you’d find in a traditional pub, but with the warmth and calm of a personal oasis.

The design should incorporate three elements:
1. The outline of our lake (attached)
2. Palm trees (stylized or symbolic)
3. The name of our house: Jacobs’ Oasis

For context, we’ve lived in the Middle East for 25 years, and this house in the forests of northwest Wisconsin, USA has been our family oasis for summers and vacations. It’s also where we will retire in a few years.

The coaster should convey relaxation, calm, and a sense of home. It should also combine the idea of the north woods with a nod to our extensive time in the middle east (symbolized by palm trees)

Design Direction
• Use some color, but keep the design clean and not overly busy. It will only be used on pub coasters.
• Colors should feel connected to a forest and lake setting but with enough contrast for a lively pub coaster
• The style should feel timeless, welcoming, and slightly vintage—something that could have existed for decades, not trendy or modern
• The lake shape and palms can be stylized, simplified, or symbolic

We’re looking for a design that balances heritage pub feel with the serenity of a lakeside retreat. These coasters will be used daily.
