Brief de Design de Couverture de Livre
My book is called “Angel for the Fireworks.” Its subtitle is “A Liberating Journey for Poets.” It is a book about being a poet, writing poetry, and the ways in which poets are connected to both society and the central energy of the Universe. I want the cover design to be abstract and impressionistic. A suggestion of fireworks or a starburst would be a plus. To be consistent with the 3 other books I have published, I want the font for the title, as well as my name (Marilyn Tenenoff) to be Papyrus. The subtitle font can be something more plain and sans serif, like Arial or Franklin Gothic Book, probably in italics. As for color, I definitely want pale gold (angelic). Possible other complimentary colors could be either light or dark shades of gray, turquoise, rose, rust or red. I'm attaching the back cover text and also three pages from inside the book that have line drawings, to give an example of the interior artwork.

Forgot to mention: My book is a paperback. Its size will be 8.5" high and 5.5" wide. I'm self-publishing it, and it will be printed by Morris Publishing in Nebraska, USA. It has 104 pages. I think you need the number of pages, in order to make the spine of the book the correct width.

- My book cover needs to be inspiring and uplifting, as well as abstract and impressionistic, with kind of a "New Age" feel. I don't want anything that looks rigid and scholarly.

- The book talks about the connection poets have to the Universe and the Creative Energy at the center of everything. The cover should convey that Energy.

- My cover should not be realistic, logical or straight-laced. I want something that feels free, imaginative and unfettered.
