Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo for our school match pro website - schoolmatchpro.com.

Our current logo is ok, but the icon image (the degree hat), looks like a cake, which I don't love.

We are looking to have a polished logo that speaks to our audience. Competitors include: DegreeGrad.com, EducationConnection.com, BestColleges.com, and EducationAdvisors.com.

I have examples attached. Our website colors are blue and orange, but the logo should be mostly blue. Please look at website for examples.

I also created a new variation of the logo, which is ok, but needs to be properly spaced and more integrated.
