Logo Design Brief: Design My Safari
Company Overview:
Design My Safari is a digital platform that allows users to design, personalise, and book custom safari experiences in Africa. We combine the spirit of adventure with the precision of thoughtful planning, enabling travellers to build their own safari — step by step — with full control over routes, accommodations, and vehicles. The brand is tech-forward, creative, and user-centric.
Logo Requirements:
We are seeking a modern, clean, and design-led logo that clearly communicates creativity, personalisation, and smart travel planning. While the name references safaris, we do not want a typical safari logo with animals, landscapes, or nature motifs. Instead, the logo should evoke the idea of design itself — clarity, structure, user intention, and smart composition.
The logo must be versatile, suitable for web headers, social icons, merchandise (t-shirts, caps), and vehicle wheel covers. It should be scalable and recognisable, with a strong, professional look that reflects trust and innovation.
Colours:
Primary:
#FDD33F – bold safari yellow, for warmth and standout presence
#282F35 – deep charcoal, for sophistication and balance
Accent (highlight use only):
#F3F4F5 – light grey, for contrast and minimal detailing
Additional colours can be used sparingly if they enhance the design and remain harmonious.
Inspiration:
We’ve shared some early ideas as references. Feel free to build on them or go in a completely new direction. We’re looking for intentional, sharp, and memorable design.
Mises à jour
I received too many versions of the logo we designed - this isn't necessarily what we were after, it was just what I came up with as a starting point. Whilst I am not dismissing the paw print, I would like to see something different also. Things I know - it needs to stand out, be in the colours that I specified. In many of the received logos, the text wasn't clear enough, the text font, style and size is important and needs to be well read - think what looks good on t-shirts, office wall and website. It doesn't need to be fancy, simple striking designs are key for our project. I envisage a global platform, not a small scale venture. Our site needs to be clean, crisp and bold. Looking forward to receiving something innovative. No landscapes, trees or African maps. If we expand to other countries or other adventures in the future, the logo needs to be adaptable.
